This gentle, effective chair yoga class is led by a rota of HYC teachers on a voluntary basis, which allows the sessions to be free or by donation. Please note that places are only booked when they have been paid for you can’t reserve an unpaid place! Bring with you: your mat, a hand towel, an air ball/cushion, 2 hand weights (anything comfy to hold, in the range 0.5-1.5kg each, or two tins of beans if you prefer something lighter). If you’ve never done Pilates before, please contact me to book a private one-to-one session, after which you can join this ongoing class. This ongoing weekly class begins with a gentle dynamic warm-up to mobilise joints and muscles. You don’t need previous experience of Pilates or yoga, and you don’t need to be fit or flexible already! These classes are suitable for anyone who can exercise standing and also working on a mat from all fours, seated and lying down positions. We will focus on: easing out stiffness mobilising and energising our bodies strengthening and stretching – so we feel great and ready to face the day ahead.
